Coaching Liaison, Co-Director, Management Board Member, Trainer, Coach Steve Domin has served Carthage College as Director of Soccer Operations, the head men's and women's soccer coach, and instructor in the exercise and sport science department at different points over the past 15 years. His guidance has made the Red men and Lady Reds consistent winners. The Naperville, Ill native continues to bring enthusiasm and a tireless work ethic to the lake shore campus, helping him earn College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Coach of the Year honors. Domin holds a combined 270-165-32 overall record. Under Domin's direction, Carthage has produced 78 All-CCIW performers, 19 All-State of Wisconsin Collegiate performers, 11 All-Midwest players, two NCAA All-Americans, Conference Championships and multiple CCIW "Player & Coach of the Year" honors. Carthage teams have been ranked in the top ten by the NSCAA Regional & National Committees on several occasions and have competed in the NCAA National Championships. Carthage teams are also recognized nationally as a "Team of Academic Excellence" by the NCAA and NSCAA. Coach Domin has been Director of Coaching for the United FC Soccer Club, holds an NSCAA ADVANCED NATIONAL LICENSE and a "USSF" national coaching license, served on the NCAA Men's & Women's Championship Selection Committee and is a full-time teacher in Carthage's Exercise and Sports Science department. Coach Domin was named CCIW "Men's Soccer Coach of the Year" in both 1996 and 2007, and "Co-Women's Coach of the Year" in 2001. His 2007 men's team won a CCIW title and qualified for the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship. In 2008, the men's team tied for the CCIW Conference Tournament Championship. He coached the Carthage women's soccer team from 1995 to 2004, compiling a 130-59-9 in 10 years (.679 winning percentage, ranked 35th all-time in NCAA Division III) and winning a CCIW co-championship in 2001 as well. Additionally, Steve Domin began his 15th year as a part-time assistant baseball coach in 2009 after a four-year playing career at Carthage. Domin, a two-year team captain, compiled a .322 career batting average as the Red Men second baseman, hit .414 in 1992 and .408 in 1993, and was named to the NCAA Central Region all-tournament team as a senior. He holds a Carthage career record for fewest strikeouts with only 24 in 450 at bats. Domin is a native of Naperville, Ill., attended Naperville North High School and was named all-area in soccer and Daily Herald all-state in baseball. He graduated from Carthage in 1993 with a bachelor’s in Exercise & Sport Science and received his master’s in education and guidance counseling, also from Carthage, in 1995. Domin had a four-year playing career for the Carthage soccer and Carthage baseball teams. Domin holds several athletic and academic records at Carthage. Coach Steve, and his wife Stephanie, reside in Pleasant Prairie, WI and are long time Kenosha County Residents. Coach Domin lives in Pleasant Prairie, Wis. with his wife Stephanie Domin, Carthage's Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Coach. They have a new born son, Ty.
