The Wisconsin State Champion United FC Boys U15 team wrapped up the second half of their inaugural US Youth Soccer National League participation in successful fashion over the March 23rd – 25th weekend in Las Vegas with a win and two ties, finishing in third place out of six teams in their division. The United FC Boys U15 team was the first team ever from Wisconsin to participate in this prestigious league. All invited participants are state champions, regional champions, regional league champions, national champions or runners-up to these positions. First place in the United FC bracket was taken by the Chicago Magic who were the Illinois State Champion, Region II champion and runner-up to the National championship last season. Second place was taken by the State Champion of South Carolina, Carolina Elite Soccer Academy.

The weekend started off with a 1-1 tie on Friday against the State Champion and number one ranked team from Georgia, the Concorde Fire Elite. Concorde dominated possession in the first half but were turned back on multiple attacks by some great United FC team defense. United really found their comfort zone and out-possessed Concorde in the second half. Each team was able to find the back of the net only once. The second game on Saturday was won by United FC 3-1 over the State Champion and number one ranked team from Maryland, the MSC Magic Green. Possession domination was the name of the game and United out-possessed their opponent from the first whistle to the final whistle and had several goals scored off of terrific team passing. The Maryland goal came in the final two minutes of the game. The third and final game of the weekend pitted United FC against Albion SC White, one of the largest clubs in Southern California and the #2 ranked team in Southern California behind the current National Champion Fullerton Rangers. Albion U15 is currently ranked #10 in the nation. The game was very back and forth. United began the scoring with Albion answering twice and having a 2-1 lead into extra time. A great team effort setup a shot by United with less than 60 seconds of play remaining that found the back of the net and produced a 2-2 final. Very exciting!!!
